I am so touched to have been nominated for a West Country Women’s Award! I could hardly believe it when I opened the email and read the wonderful words from the kind lady that recognised my efforts. It’s a long story….. a REALLY long story, but one that has tested my patience and resilience to the MAX! Taking time to sit and think about it, and how on-lookers could be strengthened during times of huge stress and despair to dig that little bit deeper and carry on has been the tipping point that made me agree to take my nomination further. The truth is that I believe I did what anyone in my position would do. If the scenario re-presented itself (PLEASE NO!), I would do the same.
