This Month my Charity Fundraising and Campaigning is in support of REFUGE; a charity set up in 1971 to support women and their children to flee Domestic Violence situations.
Remarkably 50 years on, they are still going strong but do still need help. I am amazed that in half a century domestic abuse is STILL happening, and I aim to do what I can to get the conversation started in the treatment room. Some years ago I did some training with “Behind the Mask” – Another group set up to train therapist just like me to spot the signs of radicalisation and abuse. This has helped me spot little signs and I’ve been able to help people seek help.
