So today marks the beginning of Step 4 in the roadmap for lifting Covid-19 restririctions. I just wanted to clarify the position on PPE for close contact services. From the horses mouth (government website)“Face coverings are no longer required by law. However, the government expects and recommends that people continue to wear a face covering in crowded, enclosed spaces. Where worn correctly, this may reduce the risk of transmission to themselves and others. Be aware that workers may choose to wear a face covering in the workplace.
Consider encouraging, for example through signage, the use of face coverings by workers, particularly in indoor areas where they may come into contact with people they do not normally meet. This is especially important in enclosed and crowded spaces.
In close contact services, having considered the risk of COVID-19, you may decide that in your premises you’re going to ask clients or staff to wear a face covering, especially where practitioners are conducting treatments which require them to be in close proximity to a person’s face, mouth and nose”.
Due to many clients not having had both vaccinations, those that have opted NOT to take the vaccine, and some not being able to have any at all, I will continue to wear a Face Mask for all appointments until further notice in addition to the usual PPE!I am asking all clientsto continue to wear face masks to their appointments with me please. I want to do everything I can to mitigate risk to anyone’s health, and disruption to my work. To keep it as simple as possible, I’m keeping it business as usual for now, but will update you if this changes.Looking forward to seeing you soon.
